Out for a Walk

We took the dogs for a walk today. The boy did some training with Jerry who walked beside him and "stayed" when told. I love seeing the two of them work together.

Cheese

Jerry came up to me begging for cheese.

Swim Test

Every year we get the dogs in the pool and make sure they swim to the big step where it's easy to get out.

They don't really like the water much which is good, then they aren't going in just for fun. When we swim the dogs like being near us but the collie always pulls the basset hound away from the edge to make sure she is safe.

Tug-O-War

Rope makes a great toy. Even though he's taller Jerry doesn't have a weight advantage over Lacy.

Mirror

Objects in mirror are closer than they appear.

With collies that's usually OK.

Resting

There's something amazingly soothing about watching a dog rest.
