So, God created us to be in community with him. He created us to have companionship, he created us to have community with others. He created us to have community and dominion (care taking, not domination) over creation. He created us to have a community or right relationship with ourselves.
When our relationship with God is affected, so are each of the others.
The curse isn't the way it's supposed to be, or said another way, just because things are the way they are doesn't mean that's the way God wanted it.
